The Org Tree represents the organizational hierarchy of locations that matches the structure of the company. It allows the user to organize their data specifically to appropriate locations, and then ‘pin’ themselves to those locations to view/add data and perform actions. The Org Tree is set up as a hierarchy where one location is designated as a ‘parent’ location to other locations. Being pinned to that parent location means the user will also have access to the data of the locations nested under it.
To choose which location you are pinned to
Click on the dropdown in the top left corner of the navigational bar just below the logo
Select from the locations that are available to you (note: only stock locations are visible in the Org Tree), you are now pinned to that location
The hierarchy is set up as locations are created.
To access locations
Expand the Administration module in the Navigational bar on the left
Expand Company Lists
Click on Locations
To choose the Parent Location for a new location
Click the blue ‘Create New’ button in the top right corner
Drop down the parent location (first field) and select the correct choice
Complete remaining fields as needed and click save in the bottom right of window
To change Parent Location of an existing location
Click ‘edit’ on the location you need to change the parent location for
Drop down the parent location (first field) and select the correct choice
Click save in the bottom right of window
