The Barcode Labels and Badges reports let you print bar-coded labels for organizing and identifying items, bins, locations, employees, and status codes in ToolWatch. Bin labels apply only to Quantity Tools (Type Q) and Materials & Consumables.
To Print Labels
In the Navigator panel, expand Reports and Graphs.
Click Reports.
Click Bar Codes Labels and Badges.
Select one of the following label reports:
Bin Labels Report
Employee Label Report
Location Labels Report
Status Code Labels Report
Choose the records or locations you want to include.
Choose the Label Size (Avery #5162, #5260, #5267, or #8163).
Click Preview or Print Data to generate your labels, which automatically use the Code 39 font to render the barcodes for printing.
(Bin Labels Report only) Choose whether to display the Item Number or Bar Code number on the labels.
Bin Labels Report
The Bin Labels Report prints bar-coded bin (or shelf) labels for Quantity Tools (Type Q) and Materials & Consumables.
Note: Bin labels cannot be printed for Unique Tools (Type T) or Equipment (Type E) because these items are uniquely tracked and labeled at the individual asset level.
Bin labels display the selected item identifiers in the chosen format, ready for printing and application to bins or shelves.
FAQ
Can I print bin labels for Unique Tools (Type T) or Equipment (Type E)?
No. Bin labels can only be printed for Quantity Tools (Type Q) and Materials & Consumables. Unique Tools (Type T) and Equipment (Type E) are individually tracked and use asset or tool labels instead of bin labels.
Employee Label Report
The Employee Label Report prints bar-coded labels for employees in your database.
Each label displays the employee’s name and barcode ID.
Labels can be used for employee badges or to quickly scan employee IDs for transactions.
Supports standard Avery label sizes for easy printing.
Location Labels Report
The Location Labels Report prints bar-coded labels for locations in your ToolWatch database.
Each label includes the Location Name and barcode identifier.
These labels can be applied to storage areas, job sites, or facilities for faster scanning during transfers or audits.
Supports standard Avery label formats (#5162, #5260, #5267, and #8163).
Status Code Labels Report
The Status Code Labels Report prints bar-coded labels for each status code in your system.
Each label shows the Status Code name and its barcode value.
Use these labels to tag items or areas with visual indicators for condition or availability (for example, In Use, Available, Under Repair).
Compatible with all standard Avery label sizes listed above.
