How to Use Single-Piece Flow
Below is the complete process in sequence.
1. Register the tag to ToolWatch using these condensed steps:
Navigate to Administration → Wireless Tags → Create New.
Enter the MAC Address (or IMEI for GPS trackers).
Complete the Model, Serial, Manufacturer, and GPS fields as needed.
Select Save.
2. Assign the tag to the correct tool using one method:
Use the Wireless Tag Browser by selecting the tag, opening Actions → Edit, entering the item number, and saving.
OR select the tool in Item Browser, open Electronic Scan, select the tag, and save.
3. Physically attach the tag to the tool immediately after assigning it.
Use the attachment method appropriate for that tool (zip ties, cable seals, epoxy, etc.).
4. Verify that the digital assignment matches the physical tag.
Confirm the item’s Electronic Scan field shows the same MAC address as the tag you attached.
5. Start the process over for the next tag only after completing all steps above.
