The Data Merge Utility allows you to combine two or more similar list items to ensure data consistency. For example, if you have duplicate entries for a manufacturer like "Ford," "FMC," and "Ford Motor Company," you can merge them into a single entry. When you perform a merge, all associated data—such as equipment models—will automatically update to reflect the single remaining item, and the duplicate choices will be removed from your lists.
Note: This utility is for Administrators only.
How to Merge Duplicate List Items
Navigate to Administration in the left-hand menu.
Select Settings.
Select Data Merge Utility under the List Utilities section.
Click Edit to the right of the list item you'd like to work in, such as Manufacturers.
In the Data Merger window, highlight the items in the left-hand column that you wish to merge.
Hold the Control key on your keyboard as you select multiple items at once.
Click the right arrow button in the middle to move the duplicate list items to the right-hand column.
In the right-hand column, highlight the specific item you would like to merge the others into.
Click Merge to finalize the process.
