Custom Dashboards let you visualize tool data at a glance—so you can monitor usage, track idle equipment, and make faster decisions. This guide walks through using a custom report to create usage charts and metrics.
⚠️ Note: You must create a Custom Report before building a dashboard.

Step 1: Open Custom Dashboards
From the Navigator Panel, go to Reports & Graphs.
Click Manage Dashboards.
Click New Dashboard.
Step 2: Add a Dashboard Element
Click the wrench icon in any open section.
In the Add Element window:
Title: Enter a name (e.g. Usage Total).
Custom Report: Select the custom report you created.
Display As: Choose Pie Chart.
Label: Select AssignedTo.
Filter: NA
Series: Select Quantity.
Click Save Changes.
Step 3: Save the Dashboard
Click Save in the top-right corner.
Enter a dashboard name (e.g. Tool Usage)
(Optional) Add a description (e.g. Pie Chart of available tools)
(Optional) select a folder, or check Private Dashboard
Click OK.
Step 4: Add a Metric Element (Optional)
To add a performance indicator (e.g. for Backhoes):
Select the Dashboard you just created.
Click Edit Dashboard.
Click another wrench icon to open a new element.
Name the element (e.g. Idle Backhoes).
Select the filtered report you created for that category.
Set Display As to Metric Chart.
For Measure, select Quantity.
Set Display Units to Full Number.
Set performance ranges:
Low Range Break = 1 (Can set a positive color, e.g. ‘red’)
High Range Break = 4 (Can set middle and high colors accordingly, e.g. ‘green’)
Click Save Changes.
Step 5: Assign the Dashboard to a Module (Optional)
To make dashboards available within modules:
Select Dashboards.
Select Manage Dashboards.
Click Select Module Dashboards.
In the Assign Dashboards window, use the dropdowns to assign to:
System Dashboard
Service Dashboard
Pick Tickets & Transfers
Purchasing Dashboard
Click OK.
