Overview
The ToolWatch mobile app now supports Spanish automatically, making it easier for Spanish-speaking team members to request, transfer, and track tools. When a user’s mobile device is set to Spanish, the ToolWatch app will automatically display in Spanish — no manual language selection or setup required. This feature is available on both Android and iOS devices.
Prerequisites
Feature Availability: Available on the ToolWatch mobile app for iOS and Android.
Permissions: No special permissions required; applies automatically for all mobile app users.
How to Use Spanish in the ToolWatch Mobile App
ToolWatch uses Automatic Language Detection, which means it detects your device’s language settings at launch and adjusts the app language automatically.
If the phone is set to English, the ToolWatch app will appear in English.
If the phone is set to Spanish, the ToolWatch app will automatically appear in Spanish.
The following directions explain how to change the language settings on your mobile device.
Important: Changing the device language will apply to the entire device — all apps and system text will appear in the selected language.
Step 1: Set Your Device Language to Spanish
On Android (example: Samsung S22)
*Note: Steps may vary slightly depending on your device model.*
Open Settings on your Android device.
Scroll down and tap General Management or System.
Tap Languages.
If Español isn’t already listed, tap Add a language.
Select Español (Spanish) from the list.
Tap Español, then tap Apply.
On iOS
*Note: Steps may vary slightly depending on your iPhone model.*
Open Settings on your iPhone.
Tap General.
Tap Language & Region.
Tap iPhone Language.
Select Español from the list. (If Español isn’t listed, tap Add Language and select it.)
Tap Change to Spanish to confirm.
Step 2: Open the ToolWatch App
Launch the ToolWatch mobile app as usual on your device.
Step 3: Use the App in Spanish
All menus, buttons, and instructions will appear in Spanish automatically.
No extra setup or configuration is needed within the app.
