Viewing Tool and Model Details from the Map
Hover over items on the ToolWatch Map to view quick details, then click through to full Item and Model Detail pages.
Overview
The ToolWatch Map doesn’t just show item locations—it also provides quick access to details. You can hover over any map icon to see key information at a glance, and click through to full detail pages for deeper insights.
Step 1: Hover Over an Item on the Map
Move your cursor over an icon on the map.
A pop-up card will appear showing:
Item number
Model description
Assigned location
Step 2: Check for Assignment Mismatches
The hover card lets you quickly identify if an item’s assigned location does not match its current scanned location.
For example: If an item is assigned to Warehouse A but the scan shows it at Jobsite B, the mismatch is immediately visible.
Tip: If the icon doesn’t match the assignment, consider the scan type (GPS, BLE, or Barcode) and the scan age (how long ago the scan occurred). A recent GPS scan is highly reliable, while an older barcode scan may not reflect the item’s current location.
Step 3: Open Item or Model Detail Pages
From the hover card, click:
Item Detail → Opens the full tool profile, including history, scans, and usage.
Model Detail → Opens the model profile, with specs, associated items, and status.
