Understanding the Requisition View (Enterprise & Pro)

Learn how to interpret the header details, action buttons, and inventory tracking columns within the ToolWatch Requisition View.

The Requisition View provides a detailed breakdown of field requests, financial tracking, and live warehouse inventory levels to help you process orders accurately.

Prerequisites

  • Tier Requirement: This feature is available for Enterprise and Pro tiers only.

  • Feature Activation: The Requisition Browser is disabled by default. Before you can access this view, the feature must be enabled in Company Settings. Refer to the [Enable Requisition Browser (Enterprise & Pro)] article for full setup instructions.


Header Details and Utility Buttons

  • Action Buttons: Use the top menu to Save changes, Print the document, or view Attachments.

  • + Add Template: Use this to add a pre-defined list of items to the requisition.

  • + Add Record: Allows you to manually add new items to the requisition.

  • Collaborate: Opens a communication tool for discussing the requisition with other users.

  • Status: Displays the current stage of the request, such as Requested.

  • From/To: Shows the originating stock location and the destination jobsite.

  • Requested By/Assigned To: Identifies who initiated the request and who is responsible for fulfilling it.

  • Due Date: Allows the user to select a future date for the overall deadline of the requisition.

Item Table Columns

  • Category/Model/Description: Provides full identification of the requested item.

  • Date Needed: Defaults to today’s date for each individual line item.

  • Cost Code: Identifies what the specific item is being used for.

  • Request Qty: The total number of units requested.

  • Undecided Qty: Units that have not yet been added to a pick ticket, purchase order, or rejected.

  • Actioned Qty: Units that have already been processed.

  • Pick/Purchase/Rejected Qty: Specific counts for units sent to a pick ticket, purchase order, or declined.

Inventory Visibility Columns

These columns show real-time data for the originating ("From") location:

  • Model Qty: Total quantity currently on hand.

  • Model Available Qty: Units available to be assigned (Total minus allocated units).

  • Model Allocated Qty: Units already committed to other open tickets or transfers.


Action Pop-Up Helpers

Smart Fill: Automatically calculates the remaining undecided quantities and fills them in for the user across all rows to allow quick bulk-processing instead of manual line-by-line entry.
