Creating a Calibration Task

Calibration Tasks allow users to set the necessary requirements for calibrating a tool or an equipment to specific tolerances or levels.

Prior to creating a calibration task, the calibration specifications must be set under the product’s service section.

Creating a Service Plan for a Tool Model Record

  1. Select the Catalog

  2. Find the desired Product

3. Expand the Service Panel.

4. Select Calibration Specs.

5. Select Add from the action menu.

6. The New Calibration Window will open.

7. Fill in the following fields:

  • Description: What is being calibrated?

  • Standard: enter the lower and upper limits. If you are calibrating to an exact value, use the same number in both fields.

  • Unit: unit of measure

8. Click OK.

Adding Calibration Specs as Calibration Tasks

To be able to add a Calibration Task the user first must follow the above steps for Creating a Service Plan for a Tool Model Record.

Once the Service Plan is open:

  1. Click the Tasks tab

  2. Click Add Task

3. From the Task Type dropdown, select Calibration.

4. From the Calibration Task drop-down, select a calibration task. (If the desired Calibration task is not present, repeat the steps to create a Calibration Spec.)

5. Enter the estimated amount of time it will take to complete the task.

6. When finished, click Save.
