Overview
A recurring service plan automates maintenance tracking for your tools and equipment. By setting recurrence rules, ToolWatch automatically generates work orders based on date intervals, meter readings, or usage turns.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow steps listed previously to Creating a Service Plan for a Tool Model Record.
Open the Service Plan.
Click the Recurrence button to open the Event Recurrence window.
4. Select a Recurrence Type:
By Date: Choose a recurrence pattern based on Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly intervals.
Note: If the recurrence is set for a relative interval (a number of days, weeks, or months), the next work order is triggered by the completion date of the last work order (or the close date if no completion date exists). If the recurrence is set for a specific calendar month or day, the next work order is triggered on that specific upcoming date.By Meter: Set an Odometer/Meter Recurrence pattern by filling in the Start At ... and Repeat every ... text fields.
By Turns: Set a Usage Recurrence pattern by typing the target value into the Service after every ... assignments text field. One turn (assignment) occurs every time a tool is transferred to a Location or Employee.
Whichever Occurs First: Select this option if two or more trigger criteria above must be evaluated simultaneously.
5. Click OK to close the window.
