Service and Calibration Overview

The Service and Calibration module helps you manage preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and repairs for tools and equipment. This module supports service scheduling, work orders, meter tracking, and reporting.


Service Plans

You can create recurring or one-time Service Plans that include:

  • Service, inspection, or calibration tasks

  • Linked tools and parts

  • Labor and material charges

  • Existing or custom service plans assigned to tool records


📝 Service Requests

Log maintenance needs through the Service Requests screen. Each request can include:

  • Urgency level

  • Requested service

  • Description of the issue

  • Tool and serial number details


🗂️ Work Orders

Create and manage Work Orders directly or from Service Requests.

Work Orders include:

  • Current status and assignment

  • Service request notes

  • Tasks performed

  • Charges and completion records


📅 Service Schedule

Use the Service Schedule to view and manage upcoming service events.

You can:

  • Search by tool number, model, or date

  • View meter-based and date-based intervals

  • Print the schedule for field or shop use


📊 Meter and Odometer Tracking

Track and manage meter readings to keep service intervals accurate.

You can:

  • Set meter collection intervals

  • Import readings using a spreadsheet

  • View meter history for individual tools

  • Monitor exceptions using the Meter Exception Report


🔎 Monitoring Tools

Use tool records to track all service-related activity.

Tabs available on each tool include:

  • Open Work Orders – View active service items

  • Service History – See completed work

  • Meter History – View readings and exceptions

  • ToolWatch Services – Summary of performed services


ToolWatch Service Records are built from completed work orders and linked service plans. You can track recurring or on-demand service events, record calibration outcomes, and manage costs associated with maintenance tasks.
