Editing a Custom Report

Follow these steps to edit an existing Custom Report in ToolWatch.

Editing a Custom Report

Access the Edit Report Window

  1. From the Navigator Panel, click Reports and Graphs.

  2. Click Custom Reports.

  3. Select and highlight the report you want to edit.

  4. Click Edit Report.
    → The Edit [Report Name] Report window will open.


Edit the Report Name

  1. In the Name field at the top of the screen, enter a unique name for your report (if needed).


Add or Remove Columns

  1. In the left panel, click Columns.

  2. To remove a column from the report, deselect the checkbox next to the column name.

  3. To add a column to the report:

    • Click the Add Column... dropdown.

    • Select the column you want to add from the list.


Apply Filters to Limit Data

  1. In the left panel, click Filters.

  2. Click Add Filter.... and add additional filters as needed to narrow down your results.

  3. Select a filter condition (example: Owner equals Main Warehouse).


Group Data for Better Organization

  1. In the left panel, click Grouping.

  2. Click Add Grouping....

  3. Select a field to group the report data (example: Category or Assigned To).


Apply Sorting to Groupings

  1. In the left panel, click Add Sorting....

  2. Select the field you want to sort by (example: Category).

  3. Choose either Ascending or Descending order.


Save the Report

  1. Click Save at the top of the screen.

  2. In the Save Report window:

    1. Name: Enter a new name (if needed).

    2. Description: Enter a brief description of the report.

    3. Folder: Select a folder if applicable.

    4. Private Report: Check this box if you want the report to be private (visible only to you).

  3. Click OK.

→ You will return to the Custom Reports window.
