Quickly find and manage tools and materials assigned to you, locations, or categories using the ToolWatch Mobile App. Available search features may vary based on your assigned permissions and whether you're using Field Mode or Warehouse Mode.
You can access the search feature from the Home Screen by tapping Search.
1. Perform a Manual Search
Tap Search from the Home Screen.
Use the search icon:
On Android: Tap the magnifying glass icon.
On iOS: Tap the three dots icon in the top right and select Search.
Enter keywords in the search bar, such as:
Item number
Description
Barcode
Model
Category
To scan an item, tap the Barcode icon to use your device’s camera.
Tap Close to exit the Search screen.
Tap an item from the search results to:
View details
Add to Transfer Ticket
Change status (unique tools only)
Update meter (unique tools only)
View attachments
2. My Tools (Field Mode Only)
Tap Search > My Tools.
Browse or search the tools currently assigned to you.
Tap a tool to:
Change status (unique tools only)
Update meter (unique tools only)
Add to Transfer Ticket
View attachments
3. Tools by Employee
Tap Search > Tools by Employee.
Select an employee to view the tools assigned to their pinned location.
Tap a tool to:
View details
Add to Transfer Ticket
Change status (unique tools only)
Update meter (unique tools only)
View attachments
4. Items by Location
Tap Search > Items by Location.
Scroll through or filter by Project and Stock Locations.
Tap a location to view its items.
Tap a tool or material to:
View details
Add to Transfer Ticket
Change status (unique tools only)
Update meter (unique tools only)
View attachments
5. Items by Category
Tap Search > Items by Category.
Select a category to view all items within it.
Tap an item to:
View details
Add to Transfer Ticket
Change status (unique tools only)
Update meter (unique tools only)
View attachments
Note: Stock Locations display both tools and materials. Non-Stock Locations display only tools.
