Purpose & Benefit
When searching or scanning items in the ToolWatch mobile app, entering a search term or scanning a code can return multiple matching results if identical values exist across different identifier fields (such as item numbers, barcodes, serial numbers, or model UPCs). Customizing your Scan Box Result Settings allows you to restrict search results to only the identifiers you select. This narrows down search matches, speeds up item entry, and prevents incorrect item selections.

The Scan Box filter settings apply to item search and scanning fields across both Field and Warehouse modes:

How to Customize Scan Box Filters
Open the ToolWatch mobile app and tap Settings.
Tap Preferences.
Under the Scan Box Result Settings section, toggle the switch on or off next to Item Number, Barcode, Serial Number, and Model UPC to select which criteria return search results.
Tap the back arrow icon to save your settings and return to your active work screens.
