Navigating the ToolWatch Mobile App

Understand menus, navigation, and settings in both Field and Warehouse modes of the ToolWatch Mobile App.

Overview

Once logged into the ToolWatch Mobile App, users are taken to the Home Screen, which serves as the central navigation hub. The layout and available features depend on whether you're in Field Mode or Warehouse Mode, based on your role and assigned permissions.

You can move between app sections by tapping the labels on the Home Screen. These sections link directly to key workflows like Transfers, Requests, Search, and more.


1. Switching Between Modes

To switch between Field and Warehouse modes:

  1. Tap the Settings icon.

  2. Select Change Mode.

  3. Choose either Field or Warehouse.

Your access to each mode depends on your license and the permissions assigned by your administrator.


2. Field Mode Menu Options

When Field Mode is active, the following sections are available from the Home Screen:

  1. Search – Find tools and materials by various filters

  2. Transfer Ticket – Create and manage transfers

  3. Request – Draft and submit requisitions

  4. Verify – Confirm tools and materials at locations

  5. Receiving – Record received items

  6. Count Inventory – Perform inventory counts

  7. Wireless Scan – Scan barcodes using a connected device

  8. Service Request – Submit equipment repair requests

  9. Equipment Usage Log – Track tool usage by equipment

  10. Settings – Manage preferences, permissions, and more


3. Warehouse Mode Menu Options

When Warehouse Mode is active, the following sections are available:

  1. Search – Locate tools, materials, and assignments

  2. Transfer Ticket – Create and view transfer tickets

  3. Pick Tickets – View and process requested items

  4. Express Check In/Out – Speed up equipment movement

  5. Count Inventory – Conduct inventory counts

  6. Wireless Scan – Use a scanner to manage items

  7. Create New Item – Add new tools or materials

  8. Receiving – Log received shipments

  9. Service Request – Handle repair and maintenance

  10. Equipment Usage Log – View and update usage history

  11. Settings – Access system preferences and settings


4. Settings and Preferences

From the Settings section, you can:

  • Log Out – Exit the current session

  • Username – Displays the login name of the person currently logged into the app.

  • Change Stock Location – Adjust your pinned stock location

  • Permissions – Check your assigned access

  • Bluetooth Device – Pair a scanner

  • Review Privacy Policy – Access Align's privacy terms

  • Adjust Preferences – Set default check-in options for Express Check In
