Benefits & Uses
The Express Check-In feature is designed specifically for the Warehouse side of the ToolWatch mobile app. It allows warehouse staff to rapidly process incoming tools, equipment, and materials returning from job sites, employees, or other stock locations back into stock. Using Express Check-In streamlines returned inventory workflows, updates asset locations in real time, and maintains accurate inventory counts without manual data entry delays.
Step-by-Step Guide
Open the main menu on the Warehouse side of the app and select EXPRESS CHECK IN/OUT.
Review the To field on the Express Check screen. If you need to choose a different destination stock location, tap the To field bar.
Select your preferred destination from the Select Stock Location list.
Tap the From field bar to choose the originating location of the returned items.
Tap the ALL, PROJECT, STOCK LOCATION, or EMPLOYEE tab to filter your source options, then tap the specific location or person returning the items.
Confirm your transfer details on the Express Check screen and tap NEXT in the top right corner.
Tap each item from the list that is being returned; a green checkmark will appear next to every selected item.
For tracked quantity items, all expected quantity items default to full return. Tap the In: field and enter a lower number if you are performing a partial return.
Tap the shopping cart icon in the top right corner.
Review the item summary on the Transfer Items screen and tap TRANSFER ( [X] PICKED ITEMS ) at the bottom of the screen.
Select a name to sign the transfer (or tap SKIP in the top right corner to allow anyone to sign).
Sign your name directly on the Signature pad.
Tap Done in the top right corner to submit the transaction and view the confirmation banner at the bottom of the screen.
