Setting target quantity levels helps ensure you have the right amount of equipment on-site—avoiding shortages or overstock. Within the ToolWatch Job Stock feature, you can define Low, Target, and High Quantity levels for each asset.
To access or manage Job Stock, a user's role must have the appropriate permissions.
To get started, follow these steps:
Step 1: Configure User Role Permissions
In the left-hand menu, expand the Administration section.
Click Configuring User Roles.
Select an existing role and click Edit, or click Create New to set up a new user role.
Under the Inventory heading, toggle the switch to enable view access to all Inventory-related permissions.
To allow access to Job Stock, check the boxes for any additional permissions needed (e.g., View, Add/Edit, Delete).
Click Save to apply changes to the user role.
Step 2: Set Job Stock Target Levels
Expand the Inventory section.
Select Job Stock.
Expand the Select a Location dropdown and select a location/project.
Any assets already assigned, requested, or purchased for this location/project will appear here.
If no target levels have been set, the Low Qty, Target Qty, and High Qty columns will appear blank for each asset.
Select Job Level Manager in the upper right corner of the screen.
This will allow you to assign Low, Target, and High quantity levels.
Set Quantity Levels:
Low Qty: The minimum quantity you want available before reordering.
Target Qty: The ideal number of this asset to have on-site (must be higher than the Low Qty).
High Qty: The maximum amount of this asset before you need to stop ordering (must be higher than the Target Qty).
Click Save to save the updated target levels.
Click Back to return to the main Job Stock page.
The new quantity levels will now appear in the relevant columns for each asset.
Note: Click Export to export as a CSV file.
