System Numbering and User Numbering
You can select to use System Numbering and ToolWatch will generate unique sequential numbering to Tools, Materials, and Kit Records.
User Numbering allows you to manually enter numbering for Tools, Materials, and Kit Records.
To set up numbering:
Expand the Administration section.
Select Company Settings.
Select Enforce System Numbering if you want ToolWatch to generate unique sequential numbers for Tool, Material, and Kit records.
Select an option from the Duplicate protection drop down:
Prevent: Prevents the user from assigning a number that is already in use.
Warn: Warns the user when the user attempts to enter a number value that is already in use. This does not prevent use of a duplicate number.
Click Save Changes.
Leaving Enforce System Numbering unchecked results in ‘User Numbering’.
‘User Numbering’ allows users to either use the auto-system numbering and/or enter their own numbering for Tools, Materials, and Kit records.
